Ain't I a Woman?
Ain't I a Woman? was adapted from my graduate independent study course. This short documentary entails medical and healthcare professionals speaking about the challenges pregnant black women face that can be attributed to the leading causes and high percentage of this demographic's high rate of maternal mortality.

TW3
TW3 was adapted from my graduate sports documentary course. It serves as a visual celebration of the life of Torrey Ward. Torrey Ward is from Birmingham, AL who was a former UAB basketball player in the late 90s through the early 00s. His athletic career eventually led him to be an assistant basketball coach at the universities of Ole Miss and Illinois State for their men’s basketball team before his untimely death in 2015.

Let the Redeemed Say So was adapted from my undergraduate senior documentary project. It highlights the redeemed stories of church hurt. This documentary serves as a safe space for survivors of church hurt to tell of their redemptive journey of healing and returning to the church.
Samford University Debate Team
After joining the National Debate Tournament in the 1950s, The Samford Debate Team has achieved much success. In this video, members of the team reflect on a successful academic year and speak about why joining the debate team can enhance your college experience.
Black Women Speak
Black Women Speak was adapted from a class documentary project. It amplifies the experiences of being a black woman in America. This documentary serves as an unfiltered conversation with four young black women about their experiences in education, the workplace, society, and the media.

Reflections
The creation of this blog (linked here) was inspired by my Diversity Class taught by Dr. Idrissa N. Snider, a black womanist scholar. Each student in the class led a discussion on issues facing minorities and ways for improvement. On this blog, I reflected on the class discussions that left a huge impression on me.
